A Little About Me...

Hi, I'm Kirsty, the face behind Skin & Veil Bridal Makeup.

I've been working as a freelance, professional makeup artist across Chester, Cheshire, Wirral and North Wales since 2014, helping women feel confident, comfortable & like the very best version of themselves for life's most important moments. After taking time away from the industry to focus on my fertility journey and raising my little boy, I'm incredibly excited to be returning to the work I love in 2026 - with a renewed appreciation for just how meaningful these milestones really are.

Over the years, my approach has evolved beyond makeup alone. As an accredited facialist and facial massage specialist, I've developed a deep understanding of skin and the role it plays in creating beautiful, long-lasting makeup. It's why skin preparation sits at the heart of every service I offer. Healthy, well-cared-for skin doesn't just help makeup look better - it helps you feel more confident in it too.

I'm a fully qualified, accredited and insured makeup artist, as well as a proud member of the Guild of Beauty Therapists. But beyond the credentials, what matters most to me is creating an experience that feels calm, personal, and genuinely enjoyable from beginning to end.

Having been a bride myself recently - and somehow managing to fit in three wedding celebrations along the way - I understand both the excitement and the emotion that comes with planning a wedding. I know how important it is to feel looked after, listened to & completely comfortable on the morning of your wedding.

A beautiful bridal look starts with beautiful products - and every item in my kit has earned its place.

Over the years, I've invested countless hours researching formulas, testing new launches, and refining my kit to include products that don't just look beautiful for an hour, but perform from the first photographs through to the last dance. Rather than following trends or stocking products because they're popular, I choose formulas based on how they wear, how they photograph, and how they make skin look and feel.

Each product is selected for its quality, longevity, and ability to create the soft, radiant finish that Skin & Veil Bridal is known for.

The beauty industry never stands still, and neither do I. I'm constantly trialling new products, attending training, and keeping up with innovations to ensure my brides benefit from the very best formulas available. The result is a kit built not around hype, but around performance, filled with products I genuinely trust on one of the most important days of your life.
